How Much Does a Bail Bond Cost in Marietta, Ohio?
Plain-language pricing for Marietta bail bonds: premiums, down payments, collateral, and what a Washington County surety bond actually costs families.
The number on the jail whiteboard is not what most families pay. That figure is the court-set bond — the full amount Marietta Municipal Court or Washington County Common Pleas requires as security for appearance. A licensed bail bondsman posts that full amount and charges a premium for taking the risk.
In Ohio, the premium is a percentage of the bond, paid as a non-refundable surety fee. A $10,000 Municipal Court bond does not mean you write a $10,000 check to Marietta Bail Bonds. You pay the premium, sign the indemnity agreement, and we post the $10,000 with the jail or clerk.
Down payments and payment plans are available on many qualified files. We would rather start a Washington County Jail release tonight than wait on a family to assemble the entire premium in cash. Terms depend on the charge, the bond amount, the defendant’s ties to Marietta, Belpre, or the county, and any prior forfeitures.
Collateral — a vehicle title, deed, or other security — is more common on large felony bonds in Common Pleas than on a first-time misdemeanor. We explain collateral in writing before anything is signed. There are no surprise add-ons at 2 a.m.
Compare apples to apples. A “cheap bail bond” that cannot actually post at Washington County Jail is not cheap. Confirm the agency is a licensed Ohio surety producer, that they physically post in Marietta, and that someone answers the phone after midnight.
Call (740) 706-3330 with the bond amount. We quote the Marietta bail bonds fee before you drive to 200 Putnam Street, Suite 618. Same-day quotes, 24 hour posting, and written terms are the standard — not a weekend upcharge.
